Young Peoples Panel
One of the aspects that makes Stiwdio Dyfi CIC unique is the age demographic behind the organisation. All three of our Directors are under 25, and the majority of our advisory board consists of individuals in their early to late twenties. What lends this significance is that in Mid Wales, as is the case with many rural areas, there is an exodus of young people seeking better opportunities—a phenomenon commonly referred to as the "brain drain" by authorities. Nevertheless, a considerable number of young and no less talented individuals still either remain in or have relocated to Mid Wales.
Based on discussions with our peers and other local young adults, it appears that this demographic is underserved in Mid Wales with some feeling overlooked, forgotten, and even ignored. To delve deeper into the challenges and benefits of being a young adult in such a rural area, we have devised a brief survey. The goal is to gain more comprehensive insights and subsequently share our findings with local councils. If you think of yourself as a young adult, reside in Mid Wales and want to make a difference, please consider filling in this survey.
