Fideo I Bawb Fundraiser
Stiwdio Dyfi would like to wish local filmmaker Anne Marie Carty the best of luck with her new fundraiser to finish a 10 years in the making documentary about life in the Dyfi Valley which forms part of her PHD. This is an important work and one which we are very much looking forwards to screening with Sos Coch Sinema locally. Here is the link to the fundraiser, donate today!: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/fideo-i-bawb?utm_id=106&utm_term=W6A3vbKqJ&fbclid=IwAR34A_nebM1lNfHfQV0dJLEQ4y_Wu2qtq2mo237vcaCh4xhgNkMl3xeBBcw
"Anne Marie Carty and Fideo i Bawb have been doing film and video projects with communities in the Dyfi Valley since 2002. In 2017 she started a collaborative film project to make a documentary film about life in the Dyfi Valley, to look at community resilience in the face of challenges such as Austerity and Brexit. Travelling round the local village halls and other venues Anne Marie showed films she had already made about community events and traditions in the area. After these screenings she facilitated discussions to find out what the burning issues locally were, and to ask for ideas about what a new film about the Dyfi Valley should include.
After all these years of filming the project has got very large indeed and there is some great material from life in the Dyfi Valley! Anne Marie has worked with local musician, songwriter and film composer Nick Jones to put together some beautiful sections of film, but it’s now too big for her to edit on her own given her other commitments. So - we’re looking to raise enough money to pay local film editor Jay Bonser to put together a comprehensive first draft of the film that we can then tour again around the villages so that local people can see how the film is progressing, discuss current issues and make suggestions for the final film.
Mae Anne Marie Carty a Fideo i Bawb wedi bod yn gwneud prosiectau ffilm a fideo gyda chymunedau yn Nyffryn Dyfi ers 2002. Yn 2017, dechreuodd hi brosiect ffilm gydweithredol i wneud ffilm ddogfen am fywyd yn Nyffryn Dyfi, i edrych ar wydnwch cymunedol yn wyneb heriau fel Cyni a Brexit. Yn teithio o amgylch y neuaddau pentref lleol a lleoliadau eraill, dangosodd Anne Marie ffilmiau yr oedd eisoes wedi'u gwneud am ddigwyddiadau cymunedol a thraddodiadau yn yr ardal. Ar ôl y dangosiadau hyn, fe wnaeth hi hwyluso trafodaethau i ddarganfod beth oedd y materion llosg yn lleol, ac i ofyn am syniadau am yr hyn y dylai ffilm newydd am Ddyffryn Dyfi ei gynnwys.
Ar ôl yr holl flynyddoedd hyn o ffilmio, mae'r prosiect wedi mynd yn fawr iawn yn wir ac mae yna rywfaint o ddeunydd gwych o fywyd yn Nyffryn Dyfi! Mae Anne Marie wedi gweithio gyda Nick Jones, sy’n gerddor, cyfansoddwr caneuon a chyfansoddwr ffilm lleol, i lunio rhai darnau hardd o ffilm, ond mae bellach yn rhy fawr iddi olygu ar ei phen ei hun o ystyried ei hymrwymiadau eraill. Felly - rydym yn edrych i godi digon o arian i dalu'r golygydd ffilm lleol, Jay Bonser i lunio drafft cyntaf cynhwysfawr o'r ffilm y gallwn wedyn fynd ag ef ar daith eto o amgylch y pentrefi fel bod pobl leol yn gallu gweld sut mae'r ffilm yn mynd yn ei flaen, trafod materion cyfredol a gwneud awgrymiadau ar gyfer y ffilm derfynol."
