Hwb Ffasiwn Da

Hwb Ffasiwn Da had been awarded funding from the Community Renewal Fund to pilot a textiles industry project that had highlighted the wealth of local talent and brought people in the industry locally together for a spell to create a collaborative fashion show. Hwb Ffasiwn Da was about good fashion, in the style sense and also in the ethical sense. Globally, the textiles industry was the second largest environmental polluter, with the majority of pollution affecting people in poorer regions through the toxic chemical waste used in the production of some textiles. By purchasing more of our clothes from high-quality local sources, consumers could avoid contributing towards the pollution caused by the fast lane. This had been the motivation behind Hwb Ffasiwn Da.

"I feel motivated because of Hwb Ffaswin Da, that's priceless for me."

"Fabulous creative chat with likeminded people and something for the amateurs in the community. Lovely to be showcased with professional input."

"It's the right time to revise 'fashion' the project could become something great with marketing, networking and managing"

"The Mid Wales area has so many creative and special people who do ordinary jobs but who have hidden making and creative skills on offer and nowhere to sell/showcase their work."

"Just amazing for getting it together and highlighting the interest and creativity that exists in our town!!!! It's all in our hands..literally!!! THANK YOU. Looking forward to seeing the photos and footage."
