Anne Marie Carty
Anne Marie trained in documentary filmmaking at the National Film and Television School, and worked in broadcast television for many years. Anne Marie has a special interest in the ethics of film production, and has spent more than twenty years developing the use of using participatory video and film as a tool for community participation and dialogue. She completed an MPhil research degree in Ethnographic Documentary at the Granada Centre for Visual Anthropology, and is currently finishing her PhD exploring the ethics of making documentaries with rural communities at the University of Westminster. Anne Marie continues to deliver training and make independent films, and is very keen to help budding filmmakers think about how they can maintain ethical relationships to make better and more meaningful films.
